A Unique Sicily

Visit Sicilian Museums for Free

In Palermo, as in the rest of Italy, every first Sunday of the month is 'Sunday at the Museum', i.e. free entry to state museums and archaeological sites. This initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, allows visitors to visit these cultural sites without paying a ticket.

When: the first Sunday of every month.
Where: State museums and archaeological sites.
Who: Anyone.
What: Free entrance.
Other days: In Sicily, in addition to Museum Sundays, there are other free days: 25 April (Liberation Day), 2 June (Republic Day) and 4 November (National Unity and Armed Forces Day).

Detailed information on the museums and archaeological sites in Palermo taking part in the initiative is available on the website of the City of Palermo or on the website of the Ministry of Culture.
